Hey there shredders, style masters, longboarders, bodyboarders, swimmers, SUPsters, kids, and all out Kooks. Here are my medical suggestions for the Fall of 2020. It’s pretty much impossible not to make this about the COVID craziness. My first and last comment is this, the best thing to do during the Coronavirus Pandemic is to GET IN THE OCEAN .
Your health is better by being in the OCEAN.
It is great to strengthen your body, rinse your face and sinuses, cleanse your soul, and clear your mind. Any other comments I make about COVID-19 are going to be flurried with controversy. I gotta say that regardless of how you feel, the one right thing is try not to spread this thing to others. That pretty much means when you’re on the beach hanging out with friends and family either wear a mask or keep your minimum six feet apart, or do both. Don’t just follow the less sophisticated crowd & walk up close to someone without a mask.
While you’re in the water I feel you are okay
With the open air, a regular duck dive, and some common sense to not sit right in a pack, you are fine. Best of all you get a chance to forget about coronavirus for a change!
Remember though as soon as you are back on land, put your COVID game on & don’t hang out right next to friends without a mask!
Finally, it is a difficult thing to know when you need a test! Remember, fever, cough, and major fatigue are the biggest symptoms that can imply that you can have COVID-19, are at risk of getting very sick, can become very contagious. Yes, there are other various types of symptoms. When in doubt, call you regular doctor.

That's all for now, so go GET IN THE OCEAN!
