As he walked outside
he observed his red colored house,
his wife followed behind
wearing her cream painted blouse.
He waved to the neighbors
as they are good friends,
Smiles on their faces,
the orange of their hands.
He walked down the green street
wrapped in a pale blue,
to find his way to the park
the one of a yellowish hue.
A homeless man greeted him,
with the purple in his teeth,
And the neon water flowed,
from deep down beneath.
Later his wife posed to him
a little Q and A,
“Wouldn’t something colored
ALL the colors be insane?”
He hears the question
and goes to reply,
“What kinda question is that?!"
"I’d rather die”
His wife agreed,
and then swallowed her words,
chased them down with a pink giggle,
her thoughts so absurd.
At night they laid down,
sure they knew all there is to see,
and they smiled never realizing,
how beautiful the rainbow would be.
